Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how the individual developer who operates Just Learn Anything ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Service. This is a solo project, not a company, unless we state otherwise. By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy along with our Terms of Service.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account and authentication data. When you register or sign in, we process information such as your email address, and—if you use Google sign-in—profile details that Google shares with our authentication provider (for example, name and profile image), as configured in your Google account and our integration.
- Learning activity and content. When you request a lesson, we process the topic and related prompts you submit. If you ask follow-up questions about a lesson, we process those questions together with the lesson context needed to respond.
- Saved lessons. If you choose to save a lesson while signed in, we store the lesson data (for example, title, sections, and quiz content) in our database associated with your account.
- Technical and usage data. Our hosting and authentication providers may process technical information such as IP address, device and browser type, and cookies or similar technologies used to maintain your session and secure the Service.
Analytics. We do not use third-party advertising or marketing analytics cookies in the Service as currently operated. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required, obtain appropriate consent.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
- Authenticate you and manage your account;
- Generate lessons and answers using artificial intelligence, including by sending relevant prompts to our AI provider;
- Retrieve stock images when the Service displays images for lessons;
- Store lessons you save to your account;
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues; and
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. How we share information
We share information with service providers who process data on our behalf and need access to perform their work. These include:
- Supabase — authentication, database storage (including saved lessons), and related infrastructure. See Supabase's privacy policy.
- Anthropic — processing of prompts to generate lesson content and follow-up answers. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
- Stock image provider(s) — we may send search queries derived from lesson image prompts to a third-party service to retrieve stock photos. The specific provider may change; we will update this policy if that materially affects how your data is processed.
- Google — if you use Google sign-in, Google processes OAuth authentication according to its terms. See Google's privacy policy.
We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of us, our users, or others.
4. International transfers
We and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Those countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country. Where required, we will rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for transfers from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland. Contact us at contact@justlearnanything.ai for more information or to request a copy of applicable safeguards where available.
5. Retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, unless a longer period is required by law. Saved lessons remain stored until you delete them or delete your account. If you would like to request deletion of your personal information or your account, email us at contact@justlearnanything.ai. We may retain certain records where required for legitimate operational or legal reasons.
6. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact contact@justlearnanything.ai. If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
You can stop using the Service at any time. You may also be able to revoke Google's access through your Google account settings.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us at contact@justlearnanything.ai and we will take appropriate steps.
8. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice as appropriate.
